So as you now I normally post once a week or once every other week. But there are times that I come across things that I want to share immediately with you. So today I decided to share something that really resonated with me and I figured I’d share with. I think we all want things to happen TOMORROW… but like the blog post below from Jon Acuff states… everything happens in its timing.
It’s sort of like Ecclesiastes 3:1 says,
“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:”
I am still a work in progress as it relates to blogging. I like writing to you once a week but I can feel an evolution happening with me so it may be more than that. I’d like to post on more than life purpose because even though that’s the essence of who I am and what I teach, I’d also like to talk about my role as a wife, a mom, a helper to my parents in raising my twin teenage nieces, and my passion for youth… To be honest, I think my life purpose encompasses all of those things in addition to empowering women to live free, confident and fulfilled lives.
So what that said, here’s today’s post. Let me know what you think about my blog expansion… What would like me share with you?

Sometimes people tell me, “I want to do what you do.”
That’s a nice compliment because it means they think I am successful at something. But when I tell them I’ve been writing professionally for 16 years they don’t like that timeline.
I wish success was faster. I do. It’d be a lot easier and more people could enjoy it. But the truth is, success is slow.
Case in point, here are the first 90 days of blog traffic I got.
Go ahead and soak that in.
I averaged 34 unique visitors a day for the first. Baller!
The first year I was able to get that number up to 81 readers a day. I was killing it!
For an entire year I posted and posted and posted. And barely anyone read, but that didn’t matter in the end. Why? Because I knew success was slow.
If you’re writing a book, writing a blog or starting a business, don’t get discouraged. Keep going. Don’t give up!
Take your time. We all want success tomorrow, but that’s not how it works.
Do you ever feel impatient with your dream, that success is taking too long?
Answer Jon’s question in my comments below… “Do you ever feel impatient with your dream, that success is taking too long?” If so, how do you handle it? What suggestions can you share to help others who may be feeling this way today?
Until next time….
Choose to live in and on purpose!
