Stop being afraid of the greatness that God has placed inside of you.  I believe that you could be part of a group of people who aren’t fearful of anyone but yourself.  You know there’s something BIG waiting to come out but you won’t walk in the fullness of who God created you to be because you don’t know where the road will lead.  Surrender to the knowledge that says all things work together for your good and that you serve a God who is able to do EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY above anything you can ever ask or think!

I know you are probably saying WHAT?  Well I was watching American Idol yesterday and Fantasia sang a song on the show that said ‘Sometimes you have to lose so you can win again.’  Those words immediately spoke to me.  I don’t know about you but I have had a few loses in my life that have lead to BIG wins.  However when they first occurred, I wasn’t so sure.  Maybe you are going through some thing or maybe things aren’t turning out quite the way you thought.  Well I am here to tell you that sometimes you have to lose to win.  Don’t let fear of the unknown keep you locked in a box that you were never supposed to be in.

Be Fearless | Break the mold | LET GO of yesterday | EMBRACE today | So you can WIN tomorrow.

It’s Wise Wednesday!!

Today’s Motivational Minute is…

Do you trust God enough with your life and purpose to wait on Him?  If not, you will end up waiting for Him to fix your mess in HIS time.  Use wisdom and trust that God knows what He’s doing in your life.  Maybe ….just maybe the reason things are taking so long is because you keep trying to do what only God can do in your life.

Just admit that you can’t do it and trust that God Can.

Let go and TRUST HIM!!!

I am just elated because on this evening I will host the first of my monthly motivational coaching calls.  Over the last few months I have had a number of conversations with individuals who know they have greatness inside of them but seem to be stuck in a paralyzed state of FEAR.  While praying about the direction God wanted me to take to best serve you, I realized that some people just need a little push, a little umph… a little bit of mojo or even a swift kick in the butt!

Well here is your answer… it’s time out for letting FEAR run rampant in our lives and keep us from living God’s Best.  If you know you need to take more than just safe steps into greatness, this call is for you.  It’s time for massive action steps into your purpose and destiny!

Over the past few months, I’ve been in prayer about how best to serve you and those who God has assigned to me. I know that many of you struggle with launching out and pursuing God’s best for you. So to help you live God’s best life I will be hosting a 30 minute coaching call EVERY MONTH to help jump-start you into purpose. Sometimes that’s all we need is a little push, right? It is my desire that this will be the little push needed to start you on your journey to living life IN and ON PURPOSE.  The best part of this is that it’s FREE and it’s only 30 minutes.  Believe me you… I know how important your time is and I know that you sometimes need something quick, concise, and to the point and that’s the purpose of these calls.

Therefore on the first Thursday of each month there will be a new topic and strategic tips for immediate implementation EACH month to help you break the mold, challenge the status quo and live life IN & ON purpose.

For April, we will be dealing with a topic that almost everyone has at some point dealt with or is still dealing with. There isn’t a week that goes by where I don’t meet people who are caught in a very frustrating and deadly trap.

They invest a lot of time and energy thinking ‘how great or different things would be if I (fill in the blank).’ Now I’m not talking about hoping and wishing the grass was greener on the other side. I am referring to people who KNOW they are supposed to be doing something great but CAN’T get started or just WON’T get started.

Many times they take one or two or even three steps but these are safe steps. However when it comes to taking massive action, they FREEZE.

Why you might ask???

Because of one word…. FEAR!

That’s right.

When asked ‘what are you afraid of’ or ‘what’s holding you back’, many will say “I don’t know.”

Over the years I’ve met so many people, young and old, who just won’t move forward because of this one BIG LITTLE word. They are afraid of what others will say, think or do in response to a decision they need to make. They are afraid of the unknown. They are afraid of failing and even succeeding.

YES!!!! Some people are even afraid of success. These people shrink into the background and dim their light so that others won’t try to dim it for them. OR because they’re afraid their ‘light’ won’t be accepted.

Just Do It

As most of you know I launched 30 Days of Thanks back on November 1.  When God gave me the idea it was initially for me to jump-start a new direction for my business TrueheartSpeaks Enterprises.  But it was also meant for me to stay focused on everything God has done in my life.  If I was feeling this way, I knew there may have been others who had similar experiences.  I was noticing that there were many times in my life (as most of us have) that I was so focused on where I was trying to go that I was missing the importance of being THANKFUL for where I currently was in my life.  Thus, I launched ’30 Days of Thanks.’

When God gave me the idea, I almost got overtaken with analysis paralysis. This is when you think about something so much that you never get around to doing it because you spend more time thinking and planning rather than just doing it.  Well I am here to tell you that not only did I do it, I finished it, and it felt good!  Sometimes we have to get out of our own way when God is trying to get us to step out of our comfort zones to do what He purposed us to do.

Now I will tell you that it wasn’t as easy as it sounded.  Since the daily emails came out each morning at 7 am, I prepared my posts the night before.  There were nights that my 15 month old son wouldn’t go to bed until 11, sometimes 12:30 am.  Which meant I had to wait until he was sleep to get my work done, hence I wasn’t hitting the sack sometimes until 2-3 am.  There was other days where I was so exhausted that if I did plan to wake up early to complete my post, I risked the chance of it getting out late which it did a few times.  But I still DID IT.  I stayed committed to my goal and to my assignment (this is KEY).  I didn’t let the fact that it wasn’t perfect or that I was tired or that something crazy happened in my house keep me from JUST DOING IT.

This process was an important teaching lesson for me.  Because it’s easy to say YES but what’s more important is the follow through.  You can say YES to the assignment all you want but will you stay committed to seeing it through to completion?  I can say YES I DID and I am glad I did.  There was so much that God showed me that I believe the 30 Days of Thanks was more for me than those I shared the posts with.

So it has been about 2-3 weeks since the 30 Days of Thanks ended and I am still getting emails, texts, and fb posts telling me God moved in their lives because they participated in the 30 Days of Thanks.  You see you know never know how your obedience or disobedience can have an effect on those you are connected to.   I wonder how different things would have been for those who participated if I had let pride, fear and perfection keep me from doing what God told me to do.  Now I realize that God doesn’t need me to do HIS work, but I do know that because He saw fit to choose me, I needed to accept the challenge, put my big girl panties on and make it happen.  I also realize and know that there are a select group of people whose purpose and destiny is connected to me being obedient to my call and my assignment and if this is something I teach as a speaker, coach, consultant, and counselor, I needed to step up to plate even if it felt a little scary and a little different.

So the next time, God whispers something in your ear and what He is saying doesn’t quite makes sense or the timing doesn’t quite make sense, then it’s probably God and you probably need to JUST DO IT!

Excuses

Are you ready for purpose, destiny and the marvelous future awaiting you?

If not, it’s time to start getting ready.

Stop saying you are waiting for the right time to start.  While you keeping saying you are waiting for it, it is waiting for you?  By saying that you are waiting for the right time, or the right day or the right month, you are just providing more EXCUSES to keep doing what you’ve always done, which is NOTHING.  I know it makes you feel better to say ‘I’m waiting on the right time‘ than to admit that fear is what causes you to procrastinate thus causing you to do NOTHING.

Well today, DO SOMETHING, do one thing you know you should be doing.  A little bit of progress is better than no progress at all.  One step is better than none.  Sometimes the way is made open and available to those who take the first step without seeing where it may lead.

I encourage you to stop fearing failure.  Feel the fear and do what you need to do in spite of the fear.  Many times, what we fail to realize is that it is in failure that we find success.  As you make mistakes, you learn what works and what doesn’t.  So stop making excuses and starting making things happen.

Believe BIG

 

Napoleon Hill said “What the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.” In prayer this morning God revealed to me that many of us don’t have a problem conceiving. We can think big dreams, we can see the ‘possibility’ of having more. The problem is in the believing. We see it but we don’t believe it for ourselves. It’s ok for someone to be blessed but not us. What the mind can conceive AND believe, it can achieve. The blessings of God are not just for everyone else. YOU are included in that number! Seeing isn’t always believing. Sometimes you see it but you don’t believe it which why is you don’t have it. STOP IT! I don’t know who this is for. But you can have what you see! Start believing it!

Now there are others who are even afraid to think big because you don’t believe it can happen. You are afraid of failing. You think are aren’t worthy. Well guess what? Get moving… Fail forward and TRUST and BELIEVE you are worthy and worth it!  So start conceiving today… start thinking beyond your wildest dreams for healing, for bigger faith, for living in ultimate purpose… for being a lender instead of a borrower. GO ahead… now once you start thinking it…. add God’s word to it so you can start believing… ‘as a man thinks in his heart so is he.’  Once you get past conceiving, and master believing, you WILL ACHIEVE!!
